About Me

My name is Miranda K. Ramos! I'm a self-taught children's book author-illustrator based in a small town in East Texas.

I make art and write stories that are equal parts spooky and whimsical. Among my many inspirations are monsters, folklore, animals doing human things, and of course, my two children.

When I'm not creating, you can find me reading, sewing, and collecting nostalgic 90's tchotchkes.

I'm a proud member of the SCBWI, and previous 12x12PB and Let's Make Picture Books participant. I'm currently available for projects and am seeking representation, so let's connect!
